About Candice:
Meet Candice, the owner of Citrus. Candice’s story starts young… 23 in fact! That’s when she first opened Citrus’s doors in the heart of Downtown Martinez. The beginnings are as humble as they come. The very first Citrus was a 2 chair operation fueled by a determined young woman and a small town with a big sense of community that made Citrus what it is today.
Candice’s passion for the Downtown community became the foundation of our salons. Downtown Community Clean Ups? She was there. Leaf blower in hand. Ready to make not only her clients as beautiful as they could be, but the town itself. Fun fact, Candice and her husband, Travis’s first date was a Downtown clean-up! Cause what’s more romantic than picking up garbage? Right?
Candice lives in Downtown Martinez with Travis and their son Forest and spends her spare time camping and exploring with her family. She has also served on The Downtown Martinez & Co Board of Directors for 10 years and has had a key role in the revitalization of the downtown.
Creating and supporting opportunities for growth and fulfillment in a career in the beauty industry is Candice’s highest priority and her primary role at Citrus these days. Citrus now proudly offers team members foundational and advanced training in technical and business development along with financial wellness, medical and retirement benefits.
Outside of Citrus, (yes there’s more…) Candice works as an Educator for Qnity Inc, empowering small business owners throughout the country to elevate leadership, finance, strategic planning, and growth through simple and visual education.
